Hey guys got 2 quick ?'s for ya, Ok first, I have a problem with my bedding. I'm using the rainforest mix which stays real moist, but it grows these little white/grey bugs, almost mite-sized but a little bigger. I had this happen with another brand bedding, so I switched to my current. They don't seem to bother my blood and they are not mites. Anyone got an answer? I switched him to newspaper, which is what I'm gonna stick with.

Next, now this could just be me bein stupid, (actually its a lil embarassing as I've been herpin for years!) My JCP and GTP hiss loudly pretty regularly and I have always been told it was normal by experienced herpers. Now my Blood is getting larger and now he started doing it. It's not a URI hiss though, he seems to be in great health, he eats like a monster and he's totally docile.

Not sure about the little white bugs, I just use newspaper and don't have any problems with it. As far as hissing, most of my bloods/short tails hiss at me. I think it's kind of cute since they're all really nice (well fairly nice anyway), but when I first open the cage and start to pick them up they give me a little hiss a lot of time. Once they realize it's me and I'm not going to hurt them they quiet down. -chris-
