Too much filtration?

Herpguy24 Sep 14, 2005 09:31 AM

I see a nice filter I would like to get for my 10 gallon turtle tank. But I don't know if it would be too much for them, it pumps 40 gallon per hour. If this is too much I'll just get one specially made for turtles( can't think of the name right now). Thanks, bye.

depends on what type of filter it is. I am guessing your turtles are small at this point. Perhaps you may want to consider (if possible at this time) to step up to a larger tank AND the larger filter. Your turtles will outgrow a ten gallon tank in no time (as I am sure you are aware) so why not just jump ahead if you can do it right now. Just a thought.

I do realize they need a bigger tank, but not really enough room at the time. But hoping that I can get a 20 gallon by christmas. I wanted to get a 20 today but just moved in so still unpacking and maiking ebough room.
