I contacted the Denver Zoo and this is the response I got.
["Denver Zoo received snakes from a confiscation two years ago which included a leucistic hognose snake. The attached photo shows the snake shortly after we received it. (Although has grown since the photo was taken.) That male snake became the property of the Denver Zoo as part of the legal dispositions by the court. Although the snake is not on public exhibit, we do still have that snake in our collection.
Thanks for your interest in the Zoo! "]
Now we know the rest of the story!

The Lee Richardson Zoo in Garden City, Kansas has a WC albino Eastern Hognose for years which was exhibited in their education department. Just on a side note, we received a WC completely maroon snake at the Texas Zoo in Victoria where I used to work. Stupidly, I didn't keep the snake, being an Aggie.

I don't know why that didn't work, but here's what I typed:
Where did the maroon platyrhinos come from? You're the first person I've seen that mentioned that color variety.
I found two DOR patternless, maroon adults in Waller county, TX (red sand area). The two I saw were neat looking, with salmon bellies.
Waller county isn't a popular herping destination, but it seems that those praries are pretty good for platyrhinos. I'd be willing to bet that some focused surveys would still turn up a few nasicus locales.
