The waiting is driving us nuts!!!! Everyone else seems to have their babies and we seem to have been waiting years instead of months.....looks like the end is nigh now though!!!

V_and_T,
...The wait is something that can drive you nuts. I know it has that effect on me. Don't let our PICs of new babies make you worry too much. I still have several to go and they are late. If breeding these snakes was easy it would take a lot of the fun out of it.

Just hang in there, I usually have less hair by this time in the season. In prior years, all my babies came in September, only last year did that extend into October. This is my first year having babies before September.

I too still have one last slowpoke female. I'm certain she is holding onto the babies just to drive me nuts.... it's working!! Really has me guessing as she has not been a reliable breeder at all. Until '04 she had given me nothing but slugs. I had her for sale at a show late in '03 and had two different people interested but nobody ended up buying her. Took her home and let her join the colony for the '04 breeding season and she gave me 31 healthy babies. The largest litter I've ever had. I guess she got the message. Have to wait and see how she'll do this year.

At least I have plenty of babies to keep me busy so I don't notice as much (almost).
