HELP-Constipated Leo???

blkmetalgrl Sep 14, 2005 04:27 PM

Hi everyone...

I need some help, this afternoon I was checking on my leopard gecko and saw what looked like he was sitting on some feces. So I picked him up to clean out his cage and found that it was attached to him still. So I took a paper towel and it was really attached and hard. Now that I think about it, it seems like he has not been defecating as much as he used to. He is a picky eater, I feed him millies in a little dish. He only eats a couple at a time and sometimes not everyday. I keep him on floor tiles in a 30 gal wooden cage. He always has access to water and I keep a red 75 watt bulb on a thermostat all the time. He is about 1 year old, fat and healthy looking. I am really worried about him. I'm sorry I don't have any pics right now. Any input would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks everyone

What substrate?

When was the last fecal? Was it clean? Take a new sample to your herp vet and get it checked out asap.
