i am putting a live plant into my terrerium for my crestie
and i was just wondering what kind of soil is ok...and not ok for them

pretty much any kind w/ no perlite or chemicals. i like the brick ones you get from the pet store (eco earth/bed-a-beast/etc) for small tanks, but i go thru alot of soil so now use peat, but i sift out all the big sticks and chunks of whatever is in it. that way if the critters manage to get some in their mouth, they wont get impacted or choke.

go with peat. you can get it at home depot/lowe's for about $8/bag. it takes less than 1/2 for me to put a 3" base in a 29g tank.
