How often to feed?

rlydia Sep 14, 2005 05:13 PM

Last week I brought home my first snake (hatchling corn). She gobbled down a pinky on Tuesday. I have read it's best to feed her once a week and others have said twice a week. Once a week is easier for me, but if it is better for her twice a week, that's what I will do. I sure could use some advice on this.

Thanks!

My corn is about a month old and I've been feeding her 1 pinkie every 5 days since I got her. This has been working so far and she's really healthy!

Also she's about to shed and I'm very excited because this will be the first time that I'll get to see her shed!

I too picked up my first hatchling corn this weekend at a show. Pretty excited since this'll be my first time to raise a hatchling. The guys (South Mounttain Reptiles) I bought it (Amelanistic corn) from said twice a week would be the max, once a week will be the minimum. I'm planning on feeding mine once every 6 days. Good luck.

A lot of people will feed hatchlings every 4 or 5 days and some (like me) will feed once a week.
If it fits your schedule better to feed once a week, that will be fine.
