Can a non genetic, reduced pattern ball pass some of it's traits polygenically?

gotboids18 Sep 14, 2005 07:52 PM

I'm not talking indentical traits of the parent, but a noticable degree of the expressed traits.. I see it done with Boas all the time, there are soo many different line bred boas I can't even count them.. Are Ball python traits so abberant that a parental trait couldn't be passed and produced if a few years of selective breeding were done??? Just a thought..

Absolutely yes...My opinion anyways.

I believe any trait can be refined. Although, it may take years to develop a particular style, marking, or color.

For example:

High contrast & low contrast albinos.

Pastels are beginning to show major differences from the pastel jungles that were available many years ago.

Why are individual spiders, pinstripes, genetic stripes, and mojaves nicer than others?

Sky is the limit, as long as you have the patience, money and the time to work on your ideal style of ball python.
