I seem to recall reading somewhere that they dont since they are largely nocturnal. I just got a young pair, and was wondering what additional lighting I may need besides a heat lamp.

The heat lamp should be all you need, but the UV couldn't hurt if you choose to use that also.

No they don't need it. They are nocturnal like Leopard Geckos..

They don't need UV lighting, a basking light is sufficient. But you must suppliment with vitamin D3 as well as calcium.
