New hybino project

pweaver Sep 15, 2005 08:57 AM

Just wanted to share some pictures of a new project that I have going. I bought a group of animals from Marc Bailey to start a hybino project. I'm a bit behind some of the other guys that have already produced hybinos but it should still be fun.

This is one of the males that I picked up from Marc. Both of the males are hypo, het albino, 66% chance het anery....

And this is the best part of the project -- a female ghost, het amel. If one of the males proves out to be het anery, then 1 of 8 offspring from this girl would be triple homogenous.

sure looks like a realy exciting and interesting project to start. hope that one of the male will be hypo DH for snow, and then you could produce the elusive triple homo.

good luck and keep us update.

I struck out. My male ghost proved het amel with a snow het hypo female offspring. My female ghost 50% het amel didn't however. I had 7 eggs and no triples, but some gorgeous odd looking ghosts. One was "extremely" light. I was bummed, however, in the quest for the triple. I now need to find a female to help my cause.

I plan on breeding my ghost het amel back to his daughter snow het hypo to get 50% of all snows produced being triples

Gorgeous animals...good luck buddy

Good luck

Paul,
Very nice group. I am in envy of your little Female Ghost het albino, that is a rare fine these days. Many options you will have with her.
Keep up the great work.
Kind Regards,
Adam
