How many different sexes are there to a snake? I only know of two sexes.....guess I need to go back to school.......LOL.
1.0 would be male - 1st digit
0.1 would be female - 2nd digit
0.0.1 would be unsexed - 3rd digit
It refers to the breakdown, by gender, of a group of 2 or more snakes. For example if someone had 2 males and 5 females of San Diego Gopher Snake it would be written as 2.5 San Diego Gophers. If gender is not known then the third number after a second decimal is used. Let us say you have 7 Common King Snakes, 1 is male, 2 are female and 4 are unknown. You write this as 1.2.4 Common Kings. Make sure you at least use the first two digits and if the third digit is used then the previous two must be present. 1 male and 1 female may be written as 1.1 but 3 unknowns must be written as 0.0.3, likewise a lone female would be written as 0.1 or I suppose it could be written as 0.1.0.
