A nice thing to come home to...

Some more South Brazilians. I still get a thrill out of every litter. I just love baby boas!! In case you are wondering what that yellow stuff is on the bottom and on the lower parts of the sides: when I built my melamine cages I glued (contact cement) 1/8" plexiglass to the bottom and three inches up every side and the litter dam, then sealed the edges real good. The stuff is an absolute breeze to clean, urates don't stick at all.

The mother is kind of dark in the pic as she was ovulating. Should turn out to be some killer amarali.

The bottom is laminated with 1/16" plexiglass, not 1/8".

Thos Brazilian amarali have such clean and bright color, I hope to do the same with Bolivians in the future!

nice looking litter, I think most people, at least on this forum would agree that coming home to a bunch of slithering slimey baby snakes is way cool.

Great idea on the cage, last year I built a second breeder cage for my BRB's and I laminated formica on all internal surfaces. Like the plastic, a breeze to clean and NOTHING sticks.

Don't have a pic of the second cage but here's the first, it only has formica on the floors, not the sides.
