I want to spoil my snake lol.. what is the best cage to buy if i want him to have more than enough room to roam around..I would definately prefer something that opens from the front and is long but also tall enough for him to climb..im having trouble finding a nice cage i thought it would be easy.. any suggestions? what are you guys using?

Your snake is just a baby right? From what I understand, you should keep him in a smaller home for a while, so they won't be scared or something in the bigger area. That was what was recommended to me when I bought mine at the Daytona show. Kathy Love steered me towards smaller cages to start them out, I was going with 10 gallon aquariums.

Good luck.

yes he is just a baby, and right now i am using a 10 gallon. its ok
but i was thinking generally..how long should i wait till moving him into a larger tank?

Mine was 15 inches when I got him in December. He has grown to 35 inches now. I started him in a 29 gallon and 2 months ago, at about 30 inches, I moved him to his new viv. I think most snakes are kept in enclosures that are way too small (why do you think snakes are always trying to escape?). I can leave the front doors open on his new viv, and he slithers by tasting the air and looking out, but then he goes about his business (whatever that is) inside the viv.

exactally!! if i were a snake, corn or not i would still want something that i could explore in...i couldn't see a corn, baby or not using there excelent climbing ability in a 10 gal tank...i plan to make him something nice like you have or maybe buy something but
he needs to love his cage not just survive in there....just my 2 cents..what do you think?

I built my own. It is 42" long by 27" high and 24" deep. Not bad for a girl, huh? I keep it in my basement and the den box on the floor gets to about 68 degrees. The ledge on the main floor is 85 degrees and the main floor is 77 or so.
