Hi,
I was curious if conspicuosa makes a good pet...i just got a baby but do not want it to become mean as i have heard that they have razor sharp teeth! any suggestions or methods to keep them tame? any input would be greatly appreciated!

Baby conspics love to climb and jump, as do all the other baby spinys - try to give them a tall cage with a lot of branches. When the iguanas are young, I prefer using one of those expensive UVB mercury lights that don't seem to last long but they make the little guys pretty happy. Also make sure they have a nice bowl of water always available. Feeding baby spinys is pretty easy - dandelion greens, spring salad mix, shredded collards, and baby dusted crickets. I have never had a problem with babies only eating insects rather than greens, although they do prefer the insects so I put the greens in first. Don't get fancy with sticky fruits or strange greens, save that for later. Enjoy your very cool spinytail. Kevin B

Where can I get a pair of babies/juveniles/adults and how much do they go for?
