Does anyone know where I can get Mazuri Tortoise chow in bulk? Who has the best deals? I find it crazy to go to Petsmart and spend $12 for one tiny can. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Well, you can get it off otheir website.

It will cost you $46 ($20 for the food and $26 for shipping) to have a 25lb bag shipped to you, but at that cost, it is only $2 per lb...as opposed to the $12 per pound you are paying from Petco.

Another member here mentioned in another thread being able to get a 25lb bag for $14. Odds are he is getting it from a distributor.

If you go to any feed store that carries Purina products they either carry it or can order it for you. The prices range from an unbelievable low of $14 to a high of $18 for a 25lb bag. I believe suggested retail is $40 but I've never seen it that high. I pay $14 from a local retail feed store.

Well, I called my two local feed stores, and one told me they can order it, and it will cost about $21 for the 25lb bag. The other store had it in stock and charges about $20 for it.

So there you go. Check out your local feed stores, and if that does not work, order it direct from Mazuri. Even if you pay $50 a bag for it from Mazuri, you are still WAY better off than buying one pound bags from Petco.

The thing is that not many people need 25lbs and it does go bad over time.

For anyone interested... I'll sell it $4 a lb plus shipping which usually runs 3 to $4.

About a year ago I found a good deal online for a 25 lb bag & the shipping wasn't outrageous. Now there's Mazuri stored in all sorts of containers & even in the freezer.
