Just gotta LOVE hatchlings!

Sasheena Jul 18, 2003 11:06 PM

Well my appalachicola eggs started hatching right after they were raised to 96 degrees (possibly higher). The first one pipped on day 51, and came out of the egg day 52 (today). Looks gorgeous! No kinks, or problems! I can't keep but continue to worry bout the remaining seven eggs, but just glanced at the eggs and the next one is pipping. might be a long drawn out process, but the health of the first one to pip leaves me optimistic.

And if that post wasn't the worst grammar I've ever strung together and called a sentence I don't know what is.

gotta love em. Even people who don't like snakes are amazed at the hatchlings coming out of the egg.
Hope you get all yours to pip. I started cutting the eggs as soon as two or more eggs pip. So far zero drownings.

Well as of this morning I have 5 noses poking out, and 2 eggs still to pip. Looks like I got lucky, the destruction of the AC did not result in destruction of the eggs. Now I just gotta figure out what I'm gonna do with them all! For kicks I posted a pic of the momma snake adorning my hair.
