E. King Pic

I've never posted a pic before, so we'll see what happens. I'm mainly a venomous guy, Cobras and New Guinea/OZ Elapids mainly, but I recently got into Kingsnakes and have quite a few Apalachicola Kings, a pair of Speckleds, and a pair of Black Gap Alternas.

Anyway, I got this female from a buddy. He bought her and a clutchmate at a show, and didn't get any locale info. The parents and all the other babies are black with white markings. What do you all think as far as locality, and why she is brown.

I have seen those in Georgia and the guy I was with called them coffee kings. I have wanted one but the only one I ever saw available got traded for about $400 worth of snakes before i could buy it. Then the guy who got it gave it away to a kid about 6 months later. I am still pissed. Anyway i kinda think that it is or at least i hope it is a form of hypo but as I said I have only seen them in the wild and once in captivity. I don't know of anyone who breeds them but maybe Keith will. Anyway nice snake Oh and they are found way up in Georgia in about the middle of the state. If you ever breed them post info on here and i will likely pick some up.

Thanks for the info Jason. My buddy didn't want to part with it, but I helped him move some heavy cages from his Ex's house to his, so he sold her to me for $50, with the understanding that he gets her back if I ever don't want her anymore. I'm lookin for a male like her, but either way I'm planning to breed her, and I will post on here. I emailed Keith about her, and he sent me pics of some from NE Florida. I'm moving from NC to Suwannee Co. FL next week. Hopefully I can get up to Ga. also to try and find a male.

Oh yeah, forgot about that. Can't live there and keep venomous that's not native to the state either.
