One thing that does concern me with the sav.

Can I be certain that im going to get a lizard that will reach the 3 ft mark. Or close, as long as I provide the right environment and food. Or is there the possibility I will get a lizard that only gets 2 ft even if I provide everything it needs.

Please be honest there are so many different answers to the size a sav should reach. female or male.

I know about obesity in savs but everything I read says they should get 3-4 ft.

answers and suggestions appreciated

I've never heard of a healthy captive sav, with sufficient heat/food, reaching just two feet.

I had one that was ~24 inches total length, perfectly fit, ate well, and ate red rose petals off of my rose bushes for nearly 8 years....just as you see XL examples of Bosc's monitors, midgets also appear, but not so often or noticed as such.
