Some king pics

scottofhouston Sep 16, 2005 11:37 PM

Was cleaning out some cages tonite and snapped a few pics in the process. All of these particular holbrooki are from the same field in Harris county, that has since been bulldozed and is now a neighborhood :>( I think that these calligaster are particularly attractive as well.
Enjoy, Scott

Those Houston Specks sure are outrageously yellow...almost orange on the sides........Great looking specimens....Why don't we trade herp trips....One up there for one down here.....LOL
I would love to find a pair of those Holbrooki......And as I stated before...I would love to even see a calligaster in the wild.....
Great shots of some cool snakes man,
John Lassiter

You have some outstanding snakes in your collection Scott. The yellow on that holbrooki glows! That has got to be one of the neatest kings out there. Its good to see someone is working with them. As always its great to see calligaster as well. Very nice specimens! Phil

Thanks Phil, glad you enjoyed them. Didnt have time to deal with breeding snakes this year, but should have some offspring next year!

I really like the east Texas speckleds. When I first got into snakes, I kept speckleds and thought all them looked that nice. But after college (and a move from Houston) I couldn't find any without crossbars. Nice snakes by the way
