This came up a bit at the last meeting. There is no expectation for someone to pay the fee without first sampling the product. Swing on by and check it out, no charge! If you decide you like it, get a membership and keep on keeping on. If you aren't sure, check it out again. $1 donations from nonmembers who are returning are encouraged, but honestly, there really is not anyway to know who is returning and whatnot. If I find out though... I will hunt you down and make you wish you never showed up to listen to Dean ramble on about little stinking softshell turtles
I think the nonstudent membership is only $12. There have been some excellent speakers lately and it is well worth the money, even if those crazy guys Grady and Dean are still running the show. I bet you will find the atmosphere less than intimidating, and perhaps enjoyable.

Please don't not show up b/c of money.
We do have a membership fee and do fund raising, but I never want someone NOT to come b/c they can't afford it.
We are a non-profit organization.
