Question Re. Cane Toad

foreverfrogs Sep 17, 2005 11:27 AM

Hi
I've had my cane toad for about a month. I'm not sure if I'm being over sensitive but I've noticed that when I check on him he spends alot of his time with both his eyes shut. If I drop food near him or make a sudden movement then they both pop up as normal. I wasn't sure if something might be irratating them or is this just normal. It looks a bit like he's sleeping. I keep him on bedabeast. Does anybody else's toads do this?
Thanks in advance.

my pacman sleeps with his eyes open but pupils tightly closed. i would be worried about my pacman if she did that. it is normal for a redeye treefrog to actually close their eyes rather than just their pupils. so with a cane toad it could go either way.
