I crossed the once thought to be extinct Nitida with its northern cousin the conjuncta and hatched 12 snakes. Only one exhibited traits from both parents. This guy is really freaking weird looking!!! Just thought I would show off this oddity.

Oh so that was your ad on the classifieds.
When I saw that pic in the ad I thought it was a axanthic cali king.

No it has no cal king in it at all. It is actually just a cool local cross. Yeah its up for sale, the problem to me is that to produce that look consistently I would have to either find a seperate lineage of both conjuncta and nitida or do more crossing back than I really care to. Its neat, but I am swamped with projects as it is.
Ah, maybe it was just an oversight on your part, but according to your parentage, your snake is still 100% pure Cal King. All getula Kings in Baja are Cal Kings, regardless of the acceptance of sub specific classification. Nitida and conjuncta were sunk a long time ago, same as with boylii, yumensis, etc. Maybe one day again, but for now, there still Cals. As a "phase" designation though, nitida and conjuncta certainly make some sense. Just so you don't get the wrong impression, your's one of the coolest Kings I've seen in a long time! Forget Rainer's xanthics/anerys....lol. Make some more of them bad boys, or girls.

It looks like it is axanthic or maybe its just the pic.

True all Nitida and conjuncta are actually just cal locals, however they are unique in squamation, size, color and pattern. They are smaller much smaller and thier albino is totally unique. The picture I posted last is one that just shed its first shed so the flash washed it out a little. Here is a blurry but new picture for everyone
