i'm so excited!! maybe i'm jumping the gun, but i caught my old girl "lady" digging like crazy about 7 pm. i know she has dug at least one hole previously this week. hope this is the jackpot. how the heck should i care for these eggs? leave them alone? gather them for a more controlled environment? if so, what kind of environment is optimum? so many questions...so little time (i hope). i'll keep you updated.

i found a nest w/eggs this morning...didn't count how many yet, just confirmed their existence. would the best way to deal with them be to leave them alone and let nature take its course? she did almost as good a job covering them up as she did digging!! it took several minutes of careful excavation to find them. i have never dealt with this situation before and i would like to be successful at it...it would be a shame not to hatch these eggs if they are viable. i need your help...

it is exciting the first time you get eggs isn't it
now the "I hope they hatch" phase begins
good luck with your eggs
