has anyone made their own rack?

I have a few babies comming in pretty soon and was thinking about making my own rack for babies juveniles has anyone done this or have any advice?

Hey,
It's a bit of work, but not brain surgery, as the lumber yard could cut all the materials for you for a small fee. Let me know if you need any help building one and I could try to help you with instructions for one. I'll send you my instructions.

I have plenty of tools to cut the wood etc (table saw, miter saw, drills etc) I'm more interested in the heating aspect. my room gets to the upper 60's in the winter but thats a bit cool for ambient air temps for the snakes

I'd love to see your instructions though

Jeff,

Heat tape works great on racks. Just make sure the material you use is good for keeping the heat in. PVCX is probably the best because its light, but melamie will also work good, its just freaking HEAAVY. If you let us know what size cages your planning I'm sure someone can help you figure out how much heat tape to use.
