New Camera

wwwwwells Sep 18, 2005 05:53 PM

I finally upgraded from the Nikon coolpix 4500 to the Coolpix 8700. It is really a nice camera that is easy to use. The only problem is that it has been malfunctioning. It doesn't always take the picture when I push the button and then takes pictures on it's own several minutes later. I was able to use it the rest of the weekend but missed alot of shots do it not working properly. I will be returning it tomorrow.

The link below is what I was able to use it for.

Nice clarity, hope you get a replacement quick so we can enjoy more lizard pics. I enjoy all the lizards you managed to get shots of, little blotchy and greater earless.

I think they are real cool, and well the collared pics , what can I say , you know I enjoyed them Boy they were full of chiggers , but sure were pretty to look at romping the rocks!

Have you ever been to the southwest US? It is incredible! I live in the midwest, Michigan to be exact and we have no lizards here at all! Arizona is my favorite place in the world! I usually try to go out there once a year in the spring but have not been out there since 2002. You guys really need to get together and try to make it here. You would have lots of help I am sure to find lizards and you would love it. The scenery alone is incredible. If you wanted to bring your wife she would love the scenery I am sure plus so many beautiful cactus. Don't know how to express it in Dutch but when you see the whole of the habitat these creatures come from it makes you love them even more. Occasionally keep collared lizards but I am really a sauromalus fanatic. A lot of the people on this forum are friends so I visit here and also collareds are very beautiful. Auriceps are by far my favorite even over dickersonae so it has been a real treat to see all your pictures. Thank you! Tom Greb

I think your pic and chucks are so dang magnificent I can't even begin to tell you. I absolutely love the light speckling they have. Sure hope I get mine one day SOON, LOL

Heres a recent pic of Grebster, all grown up and still coloring up. Hes getting a very nice red/ brick colored back and becoming more black all the time.

I love the redish streak that runs right up to his head, he even has redish/ orange in his mouth area.

Hes a good boy and as tame as Chewalla now, These chucks make awesome pets ! They always need baths though, hehehehhee

They sure look like cool lizards to own. The pictures of them make me want to hug them and pet them and call them George.

As Tom said, Arizona is is one of the most awesome places to live. I left San Diego(another incredible place to live) to be closer to the desert and so I could grow cactus in my yard. The scenery is incredible and there are tons of reptiles to photo.
It's like a dream come true. If you get the chance be sure to visit the American Southwest, there is nothing like it.

auriceps Sep 21, 2005 12:05 PM
