Thanks what should i do? go off feeding both(males&females) or males only
let me reword what i said...
the male is going to go off feeding when he is ready to do his thing...
the female is probably not going to go off feeding till she is gravid...
this process is "controlled" my cycling...
the snakes do most the the work...
the male will stop feeding on his own if cycled...
again........ the feeding and breeding is controlled be the cycling... you dont just take them off feeding on your own...
if someone can explain that better or has something to add PLEASE do...
good luck...

I think you did the job Shiloh. As long as the snakes want food, continue to feed. The male, may or may not refuse food at some point in the breeding cycle. The female, may or may not refuse food at a certain time during the breeding cycle. Usually when she's gravid she'll stop eating on her own. Do not stop offering food to them. Let the snake choose. There! I think that says it all....mostly....
Question though Shiloh. Do the chondros actually brumate like, say, the cornsnakes do? Because at that point we do stop feeding in preparation for hibernation. The chondros never actually hibernate though, right?

i think with a Chondro that it is good practice to always offer the snake a meal... if it refuses then ok, but i dont think their is ever a point where you should stop offering...
common sence will tell you that if she is gravid that she has a better chance of not eating, but if you are breeding that you have a male their, so just get a F/T and offer... if she eats and you need another then ohhh well...
just my take on things...
