lunchbox359 Sep 19, 2005 01:48 PM

Hello, I recently got this baby RETF and the other night after the lights were off I was doing some work in the tank and noticed his color had changed to red/purple. Is this normal?

when i had red eyes they did the same thing... one more than the other, and only at night.. they didnt die or anything like that, i am guessing it is normal.. and the green color is more for camoflauge during the day... if anyone knows something different, i am interested to hear it also..

Very interesting.

I was surprised when mine both went a very dark green at night at first, but if they'd done what yours have done I'd be worried sick ( probably unnecessarily, gratned ).

I'm used to mine gong from very light green to very dark green, but never anything outside of green.

That doesn't mean it's unusual though.
