holy late eggs batman!!

blazingreptiles Sep 19, 2005 02:02 PM

I found eggs yesterday!!! 5 HUGE and healthy eggs!

I've heard of late hatch dates, but november? This is crazy!

Now I know why one of my biggest and best girls kept refusing food, ha ha

I'll post pictures soon, I just wanted to post and ask if others have found little surprizes like this, this late in the year?

*happy dance*

well where do you live? cause out in CA I think that is common. I have one more female I think if she is going to lay will do so soon. My het albino female I got from camlonreptiles.com was a 2003 november hatch. Most other CA snakes seem to hatch in September. Around here it seems we don't get started till most people are almost done with their seasons.

California? I wish!

I'm in Canada (Toronto) so I'm clear on the other side! The temps were strange here over the last 6 months or so though (super hot), so that might have been it....it's funny though, cuz the female's name is Cali!

Either way I'm greatful! I was told she will probably go late every year now, I'll just have to keep her separate from the breeding racks and feed her all winter.
