Dark scale patches..

zefdin Sep 19, 2005 03:28 PM

I've had this female for a while now (she is about 1100grams) and she has always had these areas of dark scales. At first I thought it may have been from a burn or some other injury when she was young because it is concentrated in a couple area only. However, when you look at the scales closely they don't seem to be damaged at all. Does anyone have any thoughts?

I have a male just like that and I know for certain he was never damaged.

I'm not sure, I'm waiting for someone who knows to reply as well.... I just think that looks NEAT! What a great catch!

If it's not scars of some kind, I really hope she passes that look on..... what could you call it? "lightly toasted" maybe, ha ha

I had two possible het albinos hat were the same way - not quiet as extreme as yours but pretty close. Maybe it's another eggs stress thing - maybe its genetic - I bet you can't wait to breed her and find out!
