It's a female.
I collected the parents back in August of 1999. I caught them eight days apart, and they were only a few hundred yards away from each other. I found the male while he was constricting a Peromyscus out in the open.
Pardon the poor quality of the image. I wanted to post this pic, but I only have slides. I took a photo of the slide with my digital camera.
