Found blood

I got a new pair of geckos yesterday and I put them in their cage and in the moring I few one large dried patch of blood with a couple other smaller patches. I checked the animals and they looked fine. Do you think they mated during the night, or is it something else? What is it? I appreciate any help. Thankyou!

The only time I had that happen was with a prolapse. The male had to be castrated. Hope thats not your problem.
