How would I be able to tell if my GTP is going into a shed? I know you can see it in the eyes in other snakes but this is my first chondro, can't really find anything on the web.

How would I be able to tell if my GTP is going into a shed? I know you can see it in the eyes in other snakes but this is my first chondro, can't really find anything on the web.
I mostly go by behavior. I find that mine eats with less vigor, and is generally more quiet. She doesn't crawl around the viv like she normally does and she doesn't attack her food. Just takes it from the tongs.

Hey,
I usually can judge from behavior too, as there is very little in the way of activity with no prowling or cage movement at all. Also, some head swelling can be detected on older juvies.
