I was wondering how you know when and where theses shows are. I have yet to attend one and am interested.

Thanks in advance,
Don

go to the events part of kingsnake.com. Several shows won't be posted because they are very cheesy. On the other hand some shows shouldn't be posted the tulsa show on may 21st was kind of a let down but that is because there was like 6 tables and only 2-3 had any reptiles. But I did pick up a redtail and a ball python for $75 It is good to find someone within 100 miles or so who will be up to date with what is going on!

Yeah..I'll probably be there sometime during the day, but I won't have a table there this year. I just don't have anything for sale.

I haven't spoken to her yet, but I will in the next couple of days...I promise!

As for whether it's "worth it" or not, I hate to say one way or the other. Two years ago it was terrific! Last year, the public didn't show up as well, and some of the vendors were complaining. Will they come in the same numbers this year? I can't say for sure, but I "think" so.

If you're looking for the greatest new morphs to have ever been seen by mortal eyes...Ozark, MO is not the show to attend! But if you're looking to pick up some good solid breeding stock, and meet some of the other herpers within our area, then I'd say it's probably going to be a good show for that.

I'll be going, and I'll be looking to see what I can pick up relatively cheaply there. But, if you come up and don't like the show for whatever reason...I don't want you to be mad at me for it! LOL

Well I always enjoy going to shows! I went to the tulsa Ok show in may and there were only like 8 corns at the whole show and about 5 milks and kings. but I still enjoyed going. So as long as there are some nice people to talk to its worth it. and I would MUCH rather drive the 60 miles to springfield than about the 150 to tulsa and maybe I will stop off at bass pro while I am there. Maybe I'll see you there. It is always wonderfull to meet new people who share the same interest with me! About how many venders would you GUESS are usually there?

There's usually around thirty vendors there, some of whom have multiple tables. I think there will be about a half-dozen vendors with corns and other colubrids of all sorts, and there will be some boids and some lizards there too.

In the past, I have picked up some creamsicles at really good prices, and I have sold several morphed corns there too. There is always someone selling various normals for $10/head, but you can usually find some higher end stuff there at cheaper prices as well. The only thing you really won't find there (as far as corns go), are the really new morphs that everyone is gasping over online. It takes a while for such animal to filter out into the collections of most people, and then a couple of years before they too are trying to sell their hatchlings.
