totoises and tomatoes

I have many tomato plants and was wondering if it is ok to feed tomatoes to african tortoises. If so how many can I feed and can they eat green ones?

Due to the water contant, give them only as a treat. If they get to much they will get the runs. My Greeks get them once a week or so.
