I remember watching them for hours. It seemed I would never see the actual moment they first slit. When I did, it was awesome.
I know it's pretty hard to slit an egg from the outside, maybe it's easier from the inside??
Great to see some are still hatching this year.
You guys in TX ARE watching Rita carefully, right??
May end up being a big one.
Heed all warnings!

Very cool pic Tom. I know how anxiously you've been waiting for them to hatch.
Mark ive certainly been keeping an eye on Rita. I'm on the western side of Houston so hopefully I'm far enough away to avoid any major damage. I was planning on herping the coast thursday nite(storm is predicted to hit friday nite)but I dont like the idea of somehow getting stuck out there
Guess i'll just have to wait until after the storm

Scott...Looks like Rita is going to hit somewhere between you and I.....I am in Corpus Christi...one mile from the beach.
I plan on going herping on Thursday and Friday night.....She should get some things moving down here.....I hope.
We need the rain too......8 inch deficit this late in the year is unheard of......
Be careful too Scott.....

Good luck John and be careful down there. We sure do need the rain down here as well. I may go out north of here after the rain and see if I can find any horridus moving!
