Left frozen feeders out for too long?

wayman Sep 20, 2005 05:16 PM

I took out a frozen adult mice for thawing around 7:30pm last night to give to my green tree python, however I forgot to put the bag back in the freezer. The bag had 5 more adult mice and I didn't discover it until midnight, and they were all defrosted.

Since I refroze them after sitting out for 4 hours at room temperature, is it safe to still use them or should I throw away? Thanks.

I wouldn't either. It's not worth the risk, for the relatively cheap cost of mice.

Thanks for your replies. Unfortunately in the Bay Area, they're not 30 cents.. they're $1.50
