I have a clutch of eggs that is going on 53 days now i am expecting them to hatch any day. I know some signs are that the egg swells up and that it sweats but how far in advance do these signs come?
Thanks,
Eric

The eggs steadily increase in size throughout incubation so that's not really a sure sign of hatching. Probably the only for sure sign is the egg collapsing slightly as the baby attempts to slit through the shell, and that happens the day the baby is supposed to hatch. Hatching dates are a guessing game!!! My second clutch of leo eggs are on day 49 of their incubation period (my first 2 eggs died on day 57 of incubation...both still born) so I am hoping I will have my first hatchlings by the end of next week. Good luck!!!

Thanks and good luck to you too be sure to post some pics when they hatch i love to see the hatlings! And sorry to hear about the still borns...does this happen often?
I don't know how common still born leo babies are...all I know is that I pulled them out of their eggs and they were dead already. The eggs were doing so good too, very nice and healthy looking up till day 57 when the first one split her egg slightly and died.
