I've seen these in some stores. I'd say the downfalls to them are:

1.>Size - They are pretty small once you see them

2.>Cost - Expensive

3.> See below...

Other then that, I can't see anything wrong with it... I have a pacman frog, so I couldn't see myself using this. It's too tiny, and feeding crickets... well I like dropping them in, without worry of them jumping back out.

Third, the door is TIGHT. While in a good way, makes a loud crack when you try to open it. Maybe this gets better with time, but I wouldn't want this to freak out my frogs each time I opened it.

i agree that the size is wrong, but more in the sense that they are twice as tall as they need to be for horned frogs. Just by looking at it, I don't seen any bad design elements, so if you know of some, please pass them on.

the size is not wrong. it is just not suitable for a pacman. those are good dimensions for arboreal frogs or certain geckos. might just have to find a better tank, thats all.

I recently bought the largest Exoterra glass terrarium and I think it's the best design for a vivarium/terrarium I have ever seen. The only problem I've had is with shipping. Mine arrived with a broken front door. I had to wait 2 months for a replacement and that arrived broken as well. I finally decided to replace the broken piece myself and now have a beautiful setup with live plants, a waterfall, and a pool in the front third of the tank. It is designed so that you can run wires and airline tubes easily through the back wall with special holes along the back top trim. There are slides that cover the unused holes so your critters (or their live food) don't escape. The locking screen top is easily removable for cleaning and the front doors are lockable. I also like the fact that the front doors are mounted several inches above the bottom of the cage so you can have it partially filled with water, and you can access the inside without having to worry too much about your frogs jumping out right away. I currently have two day geckos living in the upper section of the tank and three fire-belly toads in the lower section. They are all very healthy and seem to really enjoy their new setup. I give Exo-terra a lot of credit for a well thought-out design. Now if only the gorillas at my local FedEx could learn what "Fragile" meant I'd be all set!
