The Gopher Snake was collected on my friends property in CA . He finds a lot of Great Basins but this is the lightest he has ever seen. He is a very cool friend, he gave her to me and is looking for a cool mate for her.

My dad found it on his property in the apple valley area, and I knew Dan would really appreciate it and give it the best care, so he has it. He has been a great friend for the last few years, and I only wish I could have given him two of them. Actually, I almost had that chance a few days ago. Dad called me and told me that the wacky dogs next door to him were making a bunch of noise in the middle of the night, and when he finally went out to see what was going on, he discovered that they had killed another one identical to the one we gave Dan. I am guessing it was a sibling. We have seen and caught many there, but they are usually very crisp and colorful (not at all like these two).

to hear about the misfortune with the dogs. Best of luck finding another one like it.

Have a good day,
