Cat ate mealworms! Should I worry?

lillesspetz Sep 21, 2005 12:07 PM

Ok I finished cleaning out my geckos cages. Well of course I have to leave a dish of worms for them. Heh I can't stand crickets. Anyways. My cat got in my way and tripped and the worms went flying and spread all over the floor. Good thing it's not carpet, but then I saw my cat eating any worm in sight. I had to grab him and put him in another room.

He ate about 25 to 40 worms.

Should I worry?

If it bothers him/her, Kitty will barf 'em up. If not, its some good protein. My cat has eaten crickets, spiders, moths, not to mention baby squirrels, rats and mice. Yum.

My cat has accidentally eaten mealworms without any problems. He also eats all the cricket escapees. They are toys at first and then they are food. He loves them!
