That's kind of a broad question as every snakes temperment can vary if you know what I mean... I've seen very tame rock pythons and very tame Anacondas, also the opposite of that. I have never owned a rock python, but I own 4 anacondas, so that's got to count for something. Anacondas tend to do what they want to, there really isn't a whole lot of controlling them when they are larger, which is why you are going to NEED more than one person there, lol. Sometimes if they don't get their way they can get crappy, and no matter how tame they are, they still get crabby and will still be the typical anaconda. So no matter what, be prepared for a bite everytime there is any contact with the snake, no matter what, but you should do this with any large snake, but with an Anaconda, just make sure you are prepared for it.

I love working with both but I must say...you need to work with each very differently. There are things I can count on with each of them which can throw you some challanges. I can usually tell when each is mad (and they will tell you one way or another) but the anacondas seem to act on their anger with a bit less warning.

If I were to make a general statement I would say the african rocks are easier to work with but when you get a calm anaconda you know how to work with...it can't get easier.
