My very first hog eggs are hatching now. When I first noticed that they had changed, some of them looked like they had partially collapsed, and I was afraid they'd gone bad. Instead, the baby hogs had slit their eggs down low, below the surface of the substrate, causing the egg whites to run out, dimpling the entire eggs. Have you checked the eggs to see if the babies are pipping low on them?

Mine are not due to hatch until the 3rd week of Oct. It has only been 2 1/2 weeks. I have them in an "aquarium" incubator. Something I got online. I am just afraid that with the temp being based on heated water, that the eggs might be to "moist". I do open the lid once a day for air circulation. The 2 eggs I am worried about are not getting hard, just dimpling.
