my sweetums is acting weird..

she wont go into the water (she stays on her ramp 24/7 it seems like) and she wont stop biting her own arm!! what should i do? is there anything seriously wrong with her? thanks in advance.

The only thing that I can think of is the water is too cold and he(or she)is so hungry its trying to eat itself. But then that means that for at least 3 months its hasn't eaten much. They have sacs from when they were born, that gets them through hard times.

yolk sac only lasts for about a week. ive never heard of an animal eating itself out of pure hunger. it may be irritated on that arm and is trying to get rid of problem. i agreee that temp mey be the problem. do you have a heat lamp over the basking area? do you have full spectrum lighting over the rest of the tank?
