Can anyone tell me if the mexican dwarf python is still a species ?
It is a legit species. Loxcemus bicolor (sp?), but it is under debate as to if this is truly a boid, much less a python.
Thank you ,Chris for the return,.I came across a photo of one of these animals in Raymond Ditmars book "snakes of the world",and thought it was very unusual.Even back in 1931,he writes about how rare it was to obtain one.I'm happy to hear,it still exists! Thanks again,Rick Meherin
There are some on kingsnakes.com in the classified in the python section. Also known as the "New World" python.
I think it was placed in its own group, as a solo member.
