WC RETF's

quickfast Sep 21, 2005 10:56 PM

I currently have a single adult cb red eyed tree frog and would like to get another red eye. I know it's not advised to mix cb and wc but the only adults I usually see are wc and i don't want to wait a half year to keep them together. So my questions are how well do wc RETF's adjust to a captive environment and do they have a high incidence of disease or death?

I have two wc RETF from honduras, and they've been fine so far ( a few months now ).

I'm careful to clean the glass every 3 days, and change the water completely and clean the waterfall at the same time.
( Though it has about a 50% turnover a day anyway ).

They both seem fine, and have become quite domesticated. They'll chirp and move around while we're still up next to them watching TV, and one of them will quite happilly jump onto your hand if you're in there cleaning things out and he's been disturbed.
