Ill post pics up this week, probally today.. not sure,, but anyways.. I found toads and scented the pink,, no response.. I went to the creek to notice tiny cricket frogs hopping about.. I grabbed a Few and put it in a deli cup with the hog and right away he grabbed the frog !! Im so excited..This eastern has the coolest color.. I cant wait to post pic and show you guys !

Please do post photos! I'm very interested in seeing what a "red phase" eastern looks like. I just had a clutch of 14 babies hatch, and several of them have noticeable red on their heads and "necks," with a pinkish wash in the pale areas of their bodies. This is my first year with eastern hogs, so I didn't know what to expect, but RED definitely wasn't something I ever considered!

great pics!! is the Daddy mean? never saw one open its mouth like that when hooding up. has he ever bitten you? just curious.
