While looking for information on the animal rescues in New Orleans I came across a link to the ASPCA's site and information on their efforts. I don't know how familure anyone on here is with them but I was suprised to read the information on their main adoption page about exotic animals. Basicly it is generalizations on top of sensationalized crap that they attempt to mask as information. "up to 25% of macaques are infected with Hepititas B... Great, you could also say up to 100% of humans are too. Its full of "up to" and "probablies" but no real facts. And guess what, they think you should not be allowed to own beardies... they say it is bad for us and them... Yeah that is why domesticly kept ones live longer than the ones in the wild. Anyway if you want to read more: http://www.aspca.org/site/PageServer?pagename=adopt_exotics I can tell you though, I sure am not adopting anything from them!
