All MBKs are out of the egg

Nokturnel Tom Sep 22, 2005 04:45 PM

11 new babies to play with. These hatched out larger than clutch one which was 13 eggs. I can't wait til they shed so I can see their glossy shine. Tom Stevens

Shoot Tom, I thought the one I bought from you about the first of August was pretty big. He's eating like a pig (two large pinkies tonight) and would probably eat that much every other day if I let him. As it is, I've "only" been feeding him every 4 days. And he seems to be out and about much more than my corns that are about a month older. I'd recommend one of your MBKs for a first time snake owner over a corn.

Very nice Tom. Those look to be some huge babies, but then again your female is huge so I'm not surprised.
Not sure what part of Texas you're in but stay safe Tom. Same goes for John L., Scott W., and who ever else I'm forgetting. I'm about 70 miles inland in Va. and Hurricane Isabel did some damage in my area a couple of years back. I believe she was a catagory 2 It was more of an issue of no power for three weeks, and much damage or destroyed homes more so from falling trees, etc. I have no idea how far inland you have to go to be somewhat safe from a Catagory 4 or 5 Hurricane, but do be careful.

Tom lives just north of Austin which is central Texas and about 200 miles from the coast. With the currently predicted landfall near the Texas / Louisiana border, Austin likely won't see much effect other than 30 - 40 mph winds and maybe some rain.

Beautiful snakes! How are they temperment-wise. I've heard conflicting info about them and their disposition.
