FINALLY FOUND MY FIRST CORAL SNAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (pics)

Chip Cochran Sep 22, 2005 06:07 PM

FINALLY AFTER 3 YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It happend last night while out working. Finally found one of my holy grail arizona snakes. Found it while out working last night. Took the girlfriend with me (she must be good luck) and after tracking, while cruising found my first ever Sonoran Coral snake (Micruroides euryxanthus) Needless to say I did my little Happy Herper dance. Sorry the pictures suck but my camera has horrible shutter speed so almost every thing came out with him blurry or him not being in the frame completely.

I like the pattern on it.

You ever find ringneck snakes, or tantilla?

You can take the snake out of the jungle but you can't take the jungle out of the snake.

CONGRATS...you found my all time favorite coral snake; what a sight that must have been and the pics are just fine. That is also high on my list when I head to Az but so far, skunked but hopefully, I'll get lucky one day.
