I've never kept a BRB before and am considering one, but I'm not sure.

1. I heard they require higher humidity. What's the best enclosure to use to ensure this and how difficult are they to keep because of this?

2. I heard they become aggressive/unpredictable as they age. Is this true? How do they react to handling?

Eric,
....Many people keep little BRBs in plastic shoeboxes and storage boxes. The lids to some brands of these containers are not real secure so you have to be careful when picking one. They can be kept in more elaborate cages. The best way to maintin high humidity in a cage for a Brazilian Rainbow is to limit the ventilation and keep the substrate damp. I have dozens of adult Brazilian Rainbows here and they are all baby tame.

Maintaining humidity is not really a problem. I built my own cages and they have little ventilation. This along with large water dish and a moist hide box is all they need. Of course they also need appropriate heat and food.

I have 2.7 adults and 2.6 are puppy dog tame. the other female is usually fine but can get stressed out with too much handling such as at a show getting pulled in and out of it's cage.

1. BRB's do indeed require high humidity. I think how hard you work at achieving high humidity depends on what type enclosure you choose to keep one in. Limit ventilation and use substrates that hold on to moisture.

2. With fairly consistant handling they seem to become conditioned to accept the condtions you set for it. That doesn't mean a baby will not bite, it only means that I have experienced them to be predictable in what you expect.
